War 2 is about Kabir Dhaliwal, a former RAW agent, who it appears has turned against India after linking up with the Kali Cartel. The Resurrected

This Taiwanese crime thriller is about two mothers; their daughters were taken by a kidnapping and scam operation. Unhappy with the killer being given the death penalty, the women go to a shaman for revenge – and, failing to get their daughters brought back to life, bring the murderer back instead. Boots is a comedy-drama – a story of someone growing up – and a military story, based on Greg Cope White’s memoir, The Pink Marine. Set in the 1990s, it’s the story of Cameron “Cam” Cope, a gay teen who keeps that part of himself hidden, and who joins the US Marine Corps with his friend, Ray. A Telugu film, this is a mythological action fantasy; it concerns a “Super Yodha” who has to save the world. Dark sorcerer Mahabir Lama is looking for a way to become immortal. Mehfil
This Malayalam musical drama is about Mullassery Rajagopal, a retired landowner who was the inspiration for Mohanlal’s Devasuram character. The story happens over one night, and celebrates classical music and poetry through small, intimate mehfils. It shows Raju’s concealed sadness, his connection to his wife, Devi, and his drive to save dying traditions through moving ghazals and emotional displays. Cast: Mukesh, Unni Mukundan, Asha Sharath. Barbarik
The Telugu film is about Dr Shyam Kathu, a psychiatrist, who lives with his granddaughter Nidhi. Taking inspiration from the Mahabharata’s Barbarik warrior, the story becomes more grim when Nidhi is kidnapped. Cast: Satya Raj, Vasishta N Simha, Satyam Rajesh. OTT release date: October 10. The Last Frontier
This thriller is about US Marshal Frank Remnick, the only law officer in a far-off part of Alaska. His life is thrown into trouble after a plane carrying prisoners crashes, letting several dangerous prisoners go free; he soon learns that the crash was planned as a jailbreak. Sthal: A Match is a Marathi drama showing how difficult arranged marriages can be in rural India. My Father, the BTK Killer

The 2025 documentary tells the true story of Dennis Rader, who seemed to be a family man, but was secretly the BTK serial killer. This Tamil film is a sports action drama about a kickboxer who isn’t afraid of anything, and whose life changes when he helps a woman. Legally Veer
Legally Veer is a Telugu film (also dubbed in Hindi) – a legal drama – about Veer, a lawyer who isn’t doing well, and who is trying to get his career back on track after coming back from the US. He takes on a big murder case to prove he’s good at his job and to fight for what is right. Cast: Reddy Veer, Thanuja Puttaswamy, Priyanka Rewri. OTT release date: October 10. Tron
Ares is a science fiction action film; Joachim Rønning directed it, from a script by Jesse Wigutow, based on a story by David Digilio and Wigutow. It is the third film in the Tron series and a sequel that doesn’t continue the story of Tron: Legacy (2010). It has a large cast including Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, and Gillian Anderson, with Jeff Bridges playing Kevin Flynn again.
