How to Submit
To submit your work, send your article (or a summary of your idea – a ‘pitch’) to writeforus[at]bharatfreepress[dot]com. In your email, please include a short description of who you are, your article or pitch itself, and where you got your information from if you used any sources.
Content Guidelines
We want really good writing on current affairs and news with analysis, politics and what the government is doing, business and the economy, technology, problems in society, and opinions and editorials. As for how it should be written, it needs to be clear, based on facts and well organised. Reports should be fair and not show a preference for one side (unless you’ve said it is an opinion). And, of course, it must have correct grammar and be easy to read, and you shouldn’t use overly dramatic writing or headlines that are meant to trick people.
Graphics & Media
You are welcome to add pictures, graphs or infographics that are relevant. Just make sure you’re allowed to use them and say who created them when necessary.
Compensation
How much we pay for original articles depends on how good they are, how much detail they have and how relevant they are; Bharat Free Press will decide. There’s no promise of payment for every submission, and we’ll let you know the payment details after we’ve looked at your work if it is going to be paid.
Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism is absolutely not allowed. Your submission must be entirely your own work and not have been published before. If you have referenced anything or used data from elsewhere, you need to say so. We will instantly reject anything that breaks this rule.
Important Notes
Please don’t send the same story over and over, or send it to us in multiple emails. We may change your writing to make it clearer, to improve the style, or to shorten it. Sending something doesn’ andt mean it will definitely be published.
We don’t offer full-time jobs. Anything you send in will be treated as freelance work or a guest piece. This isn’t an application for a permanent position.
