BharatFreePress.com (“BFP”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) values your privacy and protects your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your data – and addresses any worries or questions you have about using our website, mobile apps, and all other services, which we call the “Platforms”.
By using our Platforms, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
A. Automatically Collected Information
When you use our Platforms, we automatically collect this information:

IP address and rough location – accurate to about 300 metres, including city and state.
Device advertising IDs (iDFA ID / Android Advertiser ID).
What you do on the site: what you view, how long, taps, what articles or subjects you read, social media shares, and what you save.
Permissions for the mobile apps, should you be using them.
B. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We may use:
Cookies: Small files on your device which help with function, analytics, and content tailored to you.
Web Beacons / Pixel Tags: Mainly to measure how people interact with things and how well ads and the site itself do (such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads).
Third-party collection: As well as us, analytics companies, advertisers, and partners may collect data about behaviour, what people are like, and where they are.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Understand and make our Platforms and content better.
Give you content, recommendations, and ads which are for you.
Work out and analyse how the Platforms are used and how good marketing is.
Do research and development using data which has been put together and made anonymous.
Find and stop security problems, fraud, or misuse.
Meet any laws and rules we have to.
3. Sharing Your Information
We might share information with:
Advertising and analytics partners: These could be third-party sites or companies linked to us – they may be needed to help with some Products and Services, make the Service work, enable Network Features, show content, and display ads.
Third-party service companies: Like companies who deal with credit/debit card payments, customer service, marketing and communications, hosting and IT, and other companies to do with the site’s operation, support, and all of the site’s hosting. The last supplier may be able to see Personal Information, but they are only allowed to use it to provide the services agreed for the site, as per the Agreement & GDPR.
Affiliates / group companies: For the Company’s internal management, the Company may send Personal Information to its affiliates or group companies.
Legal and regulatory bodies: If the law says we must, we may give Personal Information to a public or government regulatory body or a court. Also, Personal Information may be given to third-parties: a) only if we have the customer’s definite agreement; b) if we are allowed to use the information for our marketing as the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive say; and c) in the event of a lawsuit.
Note: Despite the above, disabling login and comment features means that no personal information about users can be shared.
4. Advertising and Marketing
We use cookies, pixels, and tracking technologies to give you ads which are for you, and to measure how ad campaigns are doing.
Data which has been put together or made anonymous can be used by other companies for more targeted marketing.
People who do not want to see more ads can find a way to opt-out of the whole advertising business through their Internet browser settings, NAI (Network Advertising Initiative), or – some people prefer – social media platform settings; however, this is up to them.
5. Data Retention
We will only keep the data we collect for as long as we need to reach the aims above, meet legal duties, and support the running of the company. Data which has been put together or made anonymous may be kept longer for research or marketing analysis.
6. Information Security
We use things like encryption, firewalls, and access controls in our daily work to protect your data. However, the internet is not 100% safe for sending data, and using it is at your own risk. To report something, email grievance[at]bharatfreepress[dot]com.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our Platforms are not for children under 18. We do not intentionally collect information from children under the age of 13.
8. Cross-Border Transfers
Data may be shared with affiliates or service providers outside India. They must follow the safety steps set by law.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the situation, you may be able to:
Ask for an explanation, correction, or deletion of the data.
Turn off the option which collects data for advertising.
Ask for data which meets the specifications and is given as a file or document.
Putting these rights into effect can be done through grievance[at]bharatfreepress[dot]com.
10. Sweepstakes, Promotions, Contests & Surveys
Taking part is up to the participant. The data given might be the name, contact details, and other things needed for the promotion to work. The data is given at your own risk.
11. Do Not Track
At the moment, we are not set to notice the requests to follow the “Do Not Track” policy made by browsers, since it is not widely used yet.
12. Changes to This Policy
We can change this Privacy Policy whenever we want. Changes which seriously alter the Policy will be shown through notifications inside the Platform, or by email (if the user has an email address). The latest version of the Policy is the one which counts.
