With the AIAPGET 2026 hall ticket now live, the next few days are set to be busy for thousands of AYUSH postgraduates. The onus is on candidates to go to exams.nta.nic.in and put their travel and document checks in order before the 22nd of August.
Why this release matters for students and colleges
An e-admit card is more than a formality for the candidate. It is what confirms the reporting time, the address of the centre and the shift. Any mismatch or missing piece of information has the potential to cause trouble at the door on exam day.
Colleges benefit from the predictability as well. Having the shifts confirmed allows them to put in place logistical support for their interns and residents and stagger internal schedules. In short, the admit card sets clear expectations and avoids disputes at the gate.
When and how the exam will run
The NTA will be running the AIAPGET 2026 in computer-based mode on 22 August 2026, split into two shifts to keep the volume of candidates and invigilation in balance.
Those in Ayurveda will be writing in the morning; the afternoon slot is reserved for Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy. This division of labour also makes it easier for centres to handle biometric queues and seating arrangements.

Admit card: where to download and what to verify
A download link has been put in place by the NTA on the official AIAPGET site at exams.nta.nic.in. One needs only to log in with the application number and either a password or date of birth to get the e-admit card and a good printout of it.
The hall ticket will have all the mandatory instructions along with name, roll number, category, photograph and signature. While the city intimation slip from August 13 gave an early indication, the admit card is the final word on specifics like the date and shift.
To sidestep any last-minute issues, run through a quick checklist:
– That your name, subject and roll number are in line with the application
– Photo and signature show up clearly
– The centre address is legible and exact
– You have the right date, shift and reporting time
– Date of birth and category are as they should be
– Adhere to the printed directions for the day
Practical steps to take at this point
There is no need to put off downloading the admit card until the night before. Do it today and work out the route to the centre. A dry run in the window of your shift is a good way to avoid being delayed on 22 August 2026.
Make provision for printing as well. Have a clean A4 copy with everything in plain view. A digital version on the phone is fine for reference but you will need the paper hall ticket to get in.
In case of an error or access problem
If there is a discrepancy with the shift, subject or personal details, do not let it stand. The NTA would have candidates act at once so that verification at the centre proceeds smoothly.
