You can pick up your admit card from May 25 at jeecup.admissions.nic.in.
Reschedule eases clashes and adds prep time
Why the change? The council heard from a number of candidates and wanted to push back the answer sheet deadline as well. The exam was originally in the books for May 15-22, but the new dates should clear up any conflicts with board work or what’s going on at campus. For those in their final year of school or with a job, it makes for an easier time to plan your revision.
How the exam will run
It also allows the various centres in the state to get their CBT arrangements in order. The UPJEE Polytechnic is a two-and-a-half hour, computer-based affair, with papers in both English and Hindi so everyone can have access.
When you sit for the paper, you’ll face 100 MCQs in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. You get +4 for a right answer, but a wrong one will cost you a mark. Leave it blank and there’s no penalty.
Group-wise conduct and coverage
The schedule has the groups – A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L and K1 to K8 – being tested over that June 2-9 period. This way, the centres can space out the seating and keep things running without a crowd.
Admit card and test-day requirements
Once you have your admit card, do check the details to put right any errors before your slot. And be there early; it takes the stress out of the verification process.
Carry these items to the test centre as instructed by the council:
– Printed admit card
– Valid government ID
– One recent photograph
– A pen for rough work

Application window and fees: what institutions confirmed
As for getting in, the door to registration shut on May 17. The council had put April 30 down as the line in the sand, then put in some extensions for May 10 and 11 before finally holding it open to the 17th. (Fees were due by the 12th.)
With the new timeline confirmed, here are the essential checkpoints to track:
– Exam dates: June 2 to June 9, 2026
– Admit card release: May 25, 2026
– Earlier planned window: May 15 to May 22
– Registration closed: May 17, 2026
Candidates paid the application fee online at submission. The notified fees were:
– General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates: Rs 300
– Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and other reserved category candidates: Rs 200
What happens after results
After the results come out, you’ll need to sign up for online counselling, get a seat and have your documents in order. Pay the fee and you’re in. That’s typically a June or July kind of thing.
We’d suggest you keep an eye on the council’s site for any word on the exam day or when counselling is on. A little checking up goes a long way to making sure your path into a diploma or polytechnic programme in the state is as trouble-free as possible.
