Just before the May 6th launch, the price of the Vivo X300 FE in India has been talked about more, making us think about how much this new ‘Fan Edition’ phone will likely cost. Someone who leaks info has shown a picture of the retail box, and it says the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be about 79,999 rupees, while the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) on the box is 119,999 rupees.
Leaked price hints at a costlier ‘FE’
According to this leak, the X300 FE with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage should cost approximately 79,999 rupees. The box also states the MRP is 119,999 rupees, and this is normally higher than the price you’d find in a store.
To give you an idea, the X200 FE was released at 54,999 rupees, so the price is going up a lot this year. The reason for this increase is said to be that the parts needed to make the phone are costing more.
Launch timing and lineup
Vivo has said that both the X300 FE and the top-of-the-line X300 Ultra will be available in India on May 6th at 12pm Indian Standard Time. Vivo announced this on X (formerly Twitter), meaning both phones will be revealed as part of their 2026 camera line.

Core hardware confirmed by Vivo
There isn’t much we don’t know about what’s inside. Vivo’s Indian website specifically mentions the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, and says it will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone is 7.99mm thick and weighs 191 grams.
The battery is 6,500mAh and will charge very quickly with 90W using a cable, or 40W wirelessly. The Indian model will also have a 6.31-inch AMOLED screen that updates 120 times a second (120Hz refresh rate).

Cameras and ZEISS optics
Vivo says the X300 FE will use a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera with ZEISS technology and a 50MP ultrawide camera. For selfies, it has a 50MP front camera which has also been adjusted by ZEISS.
Also, a listing describes the rear cameras as three in total: a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide. Vivo has also officially said it will work with the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, which lets you zoom in as if you had a 200mm lens.
What the price leak means for buyers
If the 79,999 rupees price that’s been leaked is correct, the X300 FE is definitely a high-end phone. This would mean the “FE” label is changing, and it will be more similar to their main flagship phones than to phones that are good but not too expensive.
People buying it can expect a very powerful processor, fast charging, and ZEISS lenses. We’ll find out the exact arrangement of the rear cameras in India when it is officially launched.

Why it matters now
A more expensive FE phone could change Vivo’s plans for India, particularly as other companies are making flagship-level phones that don’t cost too much. It also shows how costs are going up across the whole industry, and pushing the price of top-end phones even higher.
For people who really like photography, the ZEISS adjustments, big battery, and quick charging are a really good combination. And the telephoto extender you can buy separately gives people who are serious about taking pictures on their phones more options.
What to watch on May 6
We’re still waiting to find out the official price in India, the camera setup, and how much RAM and storage you’ll be able to get. Vivo will also tell us when you can buy the phones and what deals they’ll have at their launch event.
For now, the leaked price makes us think the FE will be focused on being a premium product. And if Vivo matches that price with good launch offers, it could be a good deal on the first day it’s available.
