Xiaomi Pad 8 Launched in India: Price, Specs, and Availability Details

Xiaomi Pad 8 is now out in India, and has an 11.2-inch 3.2K screen, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, and a 9200 mAh battery. It's sold in a number of setups, and with its speed and work-friendly things, it's for people who make things, and for students. It goes on sale March 17, 2026.

Xiaomi has added to its tablet range in India by releasing the Xiaomi Pad 8 – a top-end product that is meant to have good speed, a great screen, and a battery that lasts a long time. The tablet replaces the Pad 7 from last year, and is for people who make things, students, and people wanting a good Android tablet that doesn’t cost too much.

What it has, and the screen

The Xiaomi Pad 8 has an 11.2-inch LCD screen with 3.2K quality, and a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and games. Xiaomi says the screen can get to 800 nits at its brightest, and has HDR10 and Dolby Vision, for better contrast in things that support it.

You can get it with a Nano Texture surface which cuts down on glare and reflections – making the screen easier to use for drawing and long reading. The tablet also has DC dimming and TUV Rheinland eye care to lower flicker and eye tiredness when you use it for a long time.

Speed and battery

Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, a big jump from the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 in the Pad 7. Xiaomi says the CPU is up to 32% faster, and the GPU is about 50% better – which should help with doing lots of things at once, creative programs, and hard games.

The Pad 8 has a 9200 mAh battery, the biggest battery Xiaomi has put in a tablet up to now. It comes with a 67W charger in the box, but can take up to 45W charging. This battery should easily last a whole day of normal use, and the bigger size gives more time for watching, gaming, and work.

Camera, sound, and linking up

For photos and video calls, the Pad 8 has a 13-megapixel back camera which can record in 4K at 30fps, and an 8-megapixel front camera which records up to 1080p at 30fps. Tablets don’t often focus on taking photos, but these cameras are good for remote work, classes online, and quick shots.

Sound comes from four speakers with Dolby Atmos for richer, more full sound for films and games. It links up using new wireless standards; the Pad 8 has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 6.0, and doesn’t have 5G or LTE, so users should expect to use Wi-Fi or external hotspots.

Extra things and work features

Xiaomi sells extras like the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro and the Xiaomi Focus Keyboard to help with work. The Focus Pen Pro is good for notes, sketches, and exact input, while the keyboard makes the Pad 8 more like a laptop workstation.

The tablet runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, bringing Android 16 features, and Xiaomi changes for tablet layouts and doing more than one thing at once. People who make things and students can use split screens, pen support, and better program flows.

Cost, setups, and when it’s out in India

The Xiaomi Pad 8 starts at Rs 33,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. A 12GB + 256GB version is Rs 36,999, and the same storage with the Nano Texture screen is Rs 38,999. Xiaomi also has Creator’s Editions: the normal Creator’s Edition at Rs 41,999, and the Nano Texture Creator’s Edition at Rs 43,999.

Xiaomi will sell the Pad 8 and its extras from March 17, 2026 at 12 PM through online and real-world shops, including the brand shop and big e-commerce sites. People can choose between normal and Nano Texture, and pen packs are there for those who want to use the device for drawing and notes.

All in all, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is a good, speed-first Android tablet for people wanting a fast screen, a big battery, and top-level processing at a middle-to-high price. The Nano Texture and Creator’s Editions also aim at people who make things and value pen input and screen ease.
