Finally, fans who want to stream Dhurandhar 2 have a fairly firm idea of when they can. A discussion in court about Aditya Dhar’s massively successful spy film (with Ranveer Singh) revealed it will probably be available on JioHotstar in mid-May, while it’s still bringing in audiences to cinemas.
A legal twist reveals the streaming window
The argument over the music is what brought the streaming plans to light. During a hearing in the Delhi High Court, B62 Films (the film’s producers) indicated Dhurandhar 2 won’t be on streaming services until mid-May, which is roughly 8 to 10 weeks after it was released in theaters.
This happened because the attempt to reach an agreement between the sides involved in the dispute failed. Super Cassettes, who own the music and audio for Dhurandhar 2, disagreed with the request of the person bringing the case for a quick decision in their favor during the court proceedings.
Why the song sparked a lawsuit
The problem is with the song “Tirchi Topiwale”, which comes from the movie Tridev. Dhurandhar 2 uses a re-done version called “Rang De Laal”, composed by Shashwat Sachdev, during the exciting end of the film. Rajiv Rai, the director and producer of Tridev, is suing, claiming they didn’t have permission to use the famous song.
This legal issue hasn’t stopped the film from continuing, but it has unintentionally shown us when it will be streaming.
So, when can you stream it?
Eight weeks from the release date is May 14th, 2026. The first Dhurandhar movie, which came out in December 2025, started streaming on January 30th (exactly eight weeks later). Considering this, we can expect the second film to be available to stream around May 21st, 2026.
However, one thing is different this time. The first Dhurandhar was on Netflix, but Dhurandhar 2 will be on JioHotstar.
