Joining the cast are Mallika Prasad as Amma, a human trafficker and the main villain, and Janki Bodiwala as Constable Fatima Anwar, who is very important to the team doing the investigation.
Jisshu Sengupta is also back as Shivani’s husband, and Indraneel Bhattacharya and Naved Aslam are in important roles too. Yasha Ramchandani did the film editing, and director Minawala has gone for a more bleak and procedural style.

Despite being shown at the same time as other films, Mardaani 3 did well in theaters. People in the film business say it made approximately 53 crore rupees in India, and about 75-78 crore rupees worldwide, making it one of the more successful Hindi films of the year.
