Rani Mukerji is back as SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy, giving the strong and determined performance the series is famous for. Joining her are Mallika Prasad as Amma, a human trafficker and the main enemy, and Janki Bodiwala as Constable Fatima Anwar, who is very important to the team investigating.
Also in the cast are Jisshu Sengupta returning as Shivani’s husband, and Indraneel Bhattacharya and Naved Aslam in important parts. Yasha Ramchandani did the film editing and under director Minawala, the film has a much darker, more procedural look and feel.
