Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G Debut in India with Enhanced Display, AI Features, and Competitive Pricing

Samsung has released the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G in India; they've really focused on good screens, artificial intelligence (AI) features, and keeping the software on the phones updated for a long time. The A57 is more powerful and has a better camera, but the A37 gives you a good all-around experience for less money. Both should work well and get updates for a long time.

These two phones are new additions to Samsung’s middle-of-the-road line in India. They both really emphasize screen quality, how many different things you can do with the camera, and those long-term software updates, and they are bringing more AI features to more people. They’re improvements over last year’s A56 and A36 phones in ways that really matter.

Price in India, variants, and colors

In India, the Galaxy A57 5G starts at 56,999 Rupees for a version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. If you want 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, you’ll pay more.

The Galaxy A37 5G is for people who want a good deal. It costs from 41,999 Rupees for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and there are 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB versions if you’re willing to spend a little more.

The Galaxy A57 5G is available in Awesome Navy, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac. The Galaxy A37 5G comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, and Awesome Graygreen. Both phones work with many different 5G networks and will be sold both in stores and online in India.

Display upgrades and everyday experience

Both the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G have a 6.7-inch screen with FHD+ quality and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz (which makes things look very smooth). Vision Booster makes the screen easier to see when you’re outside, and HDR10+ makes videos and games look better with more noticeable differences between dark and light areas.

There’s a slight difference in the screen technology itself. The Galaxy A57 s uses a Super AMOLED+ screen, while the A37 uses a Super AMOLED screen. Both get to a maximum brightness of 1900 nits and are covered with Gorilla Glass Victus+ to protect them.

Performance, 5G, and thermal control

Inside, the Galaxy A57 5G has Samsung’s Exynos 1680 processor and an Xclipse 550 graphics chip. Samsung says it’s 15% faster than the Exynos 1580, meaning it should be smoother when doing lots of things at once and games will have more consistent speeds.

The Galaxy A37 5G uses the Exynos 1480, a good middle-range processor that was also in the Galaxy A55 line. It will do everyday things and not-too-demanding games easily, but won’ 1t be as good as the A57 when you’re really pushing it.

Both phones have a larger 3,558 square millimeter vapor chamber to get rid of heat. This should help them keep running at their best for longer when you’re playing games for a long time, recording video, or using 5G.

Cameras and AI photo tools

The cameras on the back are very similar on both phones, though there is one important difference. Both have a 50MP main camera and a 5MP macro camera. The A57 5G has a 12MP ultrawide camera (for getting more in the picture), and the A37 5G has an 8MP ultrawide. Both have a 12MP selfie camera on the front.

Samsung is using AI to make the pictures better. Object Eraser lets you remove things from a photo with one tap, and Best Face helps get the best expressions in group photos. Circle to Search with Google can now find multiple things in one picture to give you more information.

AI Select makes copying text or getting details from screenshots and web pages faster. Voice transcription turns recordings into text you can search, which is great for school or work. The improved Bixby and Gemini (another AI) are meant to give you help that feels more natural and like a conversation.

Battery, charging, and software longevity

The Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G both have a 5,000mAh battery and can charge quickly at 45W. Samsung says you’ll get up to two days of use if you aren’t doing too much, but using 5G a lot, playing games, or using the camera will use more battery.

Both phones come with Android 16 and Samsung’s One UI 8.5. Samsung promises six years of updates and new versions of the operating system, which is good for both companies and students who need something that will last. The way the phone looks has been refined and it’s easier to drag and drop between windows for multitasking.

Design, durability, and build

Samsung has kept the look of the phones simple and comfortable. Both are among the thinnest in the A-series at just 6.9mm, have a strong metal frame and have IP68 protection against dust and water.

The Galaxy A57 5G is a little thinner and lighter, and people who use their phones with one hand a lot will probably like that. Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the screen protects against scratches and being dropped.

Galaxy A57 5G vs Galaxy A37 5G: which should you buy?

If you want faster performance, a brighter Super AMOLED+ screen, and a better ultrawide camera for photos of scenery or when you’re traveling, get the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G. It’s more ready for the future because of the newer processor and graphics.

If you’re on a tighter budget but still want a good experience, choose the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G. You still get the 6.7-inch 120Hz screen, long battery life, 45W charging, Android 16 with One UI 8.5, and all the AI features at a price that’s easier to manage.

Both phones are more about being reliable, getting software support for a long time, and useful AI features, rather than just having impressive numbers on a list. If you need really fast, consistent performance or more flexibility with your photos, the A57 5G is the better choice. For a good balance of features at a lower price, the A37 5G is a smarter purchase.
