More than 6 lakh families are on edge with college admissions under way in several states and the 2026 result due any day. The board has put out word that the Class 10 Phase 2 scorecards will be live on cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in shortly, and you can also get to them through DigiLocker or the UMANG app.
Why the result timing matters
We’re past July 1, 2026, and some 6.5 lakh students are yet to see their marksheets from the May sitting. With schools putting together their admission rosters, anyone who was after an improvement or had to do a compartment is looking for that digital scorecard to make headway.
Don’t expect to see a topper or merit list from the CBSE this go-round. They will only hand over passing papers and merit certificates to those who qualify once the second round of results is in the books.
Key policies students should note
The new dual-exam setup means the higher of your two scores is what counts. It’s a way to give you another run at it in the same year without having to put things on hold.
What you can download for now is a provisional document. The hard copy of your certificate will come to you via your school down the line, after the board has made it official.
Here’s a quick rundown of what to keep in mind:
– No topper or merit list this time around
– Your final tally will be the best of the two
– The online version is only provisional
– Schools will be the ones to give you the original
Where and how to check the scorecard
Your go-to sites are cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in and results.cbse.nic.in. Since things can get clogged when the link goes live, DigiLocker and UMANG are a sensible way to get around the server traffic.
You’ll have to put in your roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth to see the result. For those who prefer not to use the web, the board has also set up SMS and IVRS options.
DigiLocker, UMANG and IVRS options
Log in to DigiLocker or UMANG and you can pull up your Class 10 marksheet from the education tab, provided you have the right exam info. It’s the same provisional figures you’d see on the CBSE end.
If you’re in Delhi, pick up the phone and dial 24300699 for the IVRS; if you’re elsewhere, it’s 011-24300699. Just follow the prompts, give them your roll number and DOB and you’ll hear your result.
What the new system changes on the ground
The second board for Class 10 was held in a single 10:30 am to 1:30 pm shift from May 15 to 21, 2026, at centres here and overseas. Numbers put forward by the board show 6.68 lakh candidates signed up for this phase, whether for an upgrade or a re-take.
In a way, the board has taken some of the sting out of a one-and-done exam. It does mean more legwork for schools to process results from two different times, but the rule of taking the better score makes for an easier finish.
Fast-track your result check
To save yourself from the rush, you might want to have these in order before you start:
– Have your roll and school numbers, plus the admit card, to hand
– Start with cbseresults.nic.in, then try results.cbse.nic.in
– If the site is being uncooperative, head to DigiLocker or UMANG
– IVRS is a handy back-up for a fast answer
The marksheet you see will break down your marks, grades and whether you’ve made the cut. You can put it to use for admissions right away, and the school will provide the original once the board has sent it over.
No one has put a date and time on it as of yet. So for the latest, stick to what’s on cbse.gov.in or the alerts on your DigiLocker and UMANG apps. There’s no point in hounding some unofficial link for an update.
Put simply: the window is open, the digital side is in place and the best-of-two deal could be the difference in getting over the line for an admission. Have your details close by and use the proper channels to get your 2026 result without the fuss.
