Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Price Slashed by Rs 2.89 Lakh: New Ex-Showroom Cost Rs 17.90 Lakh

Kawasaki has lowered the price of its Ninja ZX-10R by Rs 2.89 lakh, so the new ex-showroom price is now Rs 17.90 lakh. This price is good until March 31. The superbike has a 998 cc engine, modern electronics, and is able to run on E20 fuel - all of which make it a really strong competitor in the liter-class group of bikes.

Kawasaki has made a good-sized price reduction on its top supersport model, the Ninja ZX-10R. The discount, for a limited time, of Rs 2.89 lakh makes the actual ex-showroom price Rs 17.90 lakh, instead of Rs 20.79 lakh. People who want a liter-class superbike will find that this really makes it less expensive to buy one, without any changes to what the bike can do.

The new price and when the offer ends

The discount on the Ninja ZX-10R is good until March 31, and people who buy it should expect the usual terms and conditions from dealerships. The new ex-showroom price of Rs 17.90 lakh will be different in each state when you add on taxes, registration, and insurance, but the main benefit is the lower price to start with.

You can have the bike in one of two colours: Metallic Graphite Gray with Metallic Diablo Black, or Lime Green with Pearl Blizzard White. Kawasaki hasn’t said how many of these bikes are available with this offer, so how long it will take to get one, and if they are in stock, will depend on the dealership you go to.

The engine, how it runs, and that it can use E20 fuel

The ZX-10R has a 998 cc, liquid-cooled inline-four engine. The version of the bike sold in India makes 200 bhp at 13,200 rpm and 114.9 Nm at 11,400 rpm, and gives a lot of power at high speeds, and a good amount of power across the middle of the speed range. It has a six-speed gearbox, with a slip-assist clutch to make the clutch lever easier to pull and downshifts smoother.

A bi-directional quickshifter is included as standard, and lets riders shift up and down without using the clutch when the bike is under power. This is a big help on the race track and on fast roads, as smooth shifts let the rider focus on where to brake and how to take corners.

The ZX-10R now sold in India is E20 compliant, which means it can run on petrol mixed with up to 20 percent ethanol. As E20 fuel becomes more available at petrol stations across the country, this means the bike is ready for the future, and performance will not be affected.

The electronics and rider aids it has

Kawasaki fits the ZX-10R with a full set of electronics, the main part of which is a TFT instrument console that can connect to a smartphone. The display is clear, easy to read, and can be changed to give quick access to ride data and connection features.

Several riding modes change the throttle response and how much the bike’s systems will step in, to suit the conditions. Dual-channel ABS, traction control, launch control, cruise control, and engine brake control complete the system. All of these systems work in the background to control wheel spin, make hard starts more stable, and reduce tiredness on long journeys.

It’s important to know that these systems aren’t a way to avoid risk. They give less experienced riders more confidence, and let skilled track-day riders push harder while still having a safety net. Being able to change the settings lets the bike be suited to different grip levels, temperatures, or the layout of a circuit.

The frame, suspension, and brakes

The ZX-10R frame is supported by top-quality parts which have been proven in racing. At the front, Showa BFF (Balanced Free Front) forks give accurate control and good support when braking. At the rear, a Showa BFRC (Balance Free Rear Cushion) monoshock controls traction and stability over bumps and the edges of corners.

An Ohlins electronic steering damper stops headshake during strong acceleration or when the road surface is rough. This adds stability at high speeds and helps the rider keep a clean line through fast, sweeping corners.

Braking is done by dual 330 mm discs at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. This is designed to give consistent bite and not fade, matching the bike’s performance. For everyday riders, this means a predictable feel to the brake lever and shorter stopping distances.

How good the value is compared to other bikes

With the discount, the ZX-10R is cheaper than the BMW S 1000 RR, which starts at Rs 23.25 lakh ex-showroom, by Rs 5.35 lakh. This price difference is large in a group where extra features often make the final price higher. It shows that the Kawasaki is now the most affordable liter-class superbike for sale in India.

For riders who are comparing what the bikes can do, the ZX-10R gives everything that people who know about bikes would expect: a lively inline-four engine, strong electronics, fully adjustable suspension, and serious braking hardware. The offer makes this even better, and leaves more money in the budget for track days, tires, and riding clothes.

Advice on buying and what to do next

If the Ninja ZX-10R is one of the bikes you are thinking of buying, make sure you act before March 31 to get the discounted price. Contact several dealerships to find out which colours are available, how long delivery will take, and if there are any fees charged by the dealers. Ask for a full ‘on the road’ quote which includes your choices for insurance, extended warranty options, and extras.

Arrange a complete check before you take delivery, and make sure the quickshifter, rider aids, and TFT connection all work as they should. As the bike is E20 compliant, ask the service advisor about which fuel is best to use, and how to store the bike. For finance, compare interest rates and early repayment terms from different lenders, rather than just taking the one offered by the dealership.

The discount on the ZX-10R comes at the right time for riders who are getting their first liter-class bike, or experienced owners who want to go back to a superbike that is focused on performance. With a lower price to get in, and no loss of the important parts, this offer makes an aspirational superbike much more possible to buy.
