Ranbir Kapoor Confirms Animal Park as Part of Ambitious Three-Part Franchise, Filming in 2027

Ranbir Kapoor has made it known that Animal Park - the next film in what will be a series of three - won't be shot until 2027. He said in an interview that the reason for the wait is the director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is currently working on something else, so the sequel isn't quite ready to go.

Kapoor also revealed the script for Animal Park is still being developed; Vanga is “trying out” different ideas and making the story much larger. This larger story, Ranbir went on to say, is meant to be a three-film franchise, and Animal Park will be the second part.

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Vision and Trilogy Plan

Vanga – who also directed Animal – is in charge of the creative side of things, and Ranbir said the two have been trading ideas ever since the first film came out, which has helped them think about how the franchise can been stretched to three movies.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Dual Role and Narrative Twist

A major piece of news is Ranbir will be in two roles in Animal Park. He explained that in the story, the villain has plastic surgery and, as a result, looks just like the hero, giving the actor the chance to play both good and bad in the same story.

Themes, Tone, and Continuation of Animal

Animal, from 2023, was a very dark and violent movie, and also showed a complicated relationship between a father and son. Ranbir’s performance as Ranvijay ‘Vijay’ Singh was central to the film’s psychological tension. Animal Park should take those ideas further, but also make room for new plotlines and conflicts between characters.

The first film did well in cinemas, which has made it possible to turn the story into a series. Planning three films gives the people making them the chance to make the characters more developed, raise the stakes, and try out different ways of telling the story in each film.

Shooting Timeline and Reasons for Delay

Why the gap before Animal Park is filmed? Ranbir has a lot of work lined up, including a historical drama and a film about mythology, which are due to be released in the next twelve months. These big films need his time and attention, so Animal Park can’t begin production until 2027.

The Price of Perfection Why the Wait for Animal Park Matters

Those looking forward to the sequel can be happy that Ranbir says talks about it have been going on for some time, and the director’s changing script shows the team is taking the time to get the story right, rather than rushing into making the film simply because the first one was successful.

A three-film series is good for both the storytelling and the publicity. It lets the creators plan where the characters will end up, put hints in one film which are explained in later ones, and perhaps even give each film a different feel, while still keeping the same world.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Dual Responsibility and Long-Term Vision

Ranbir taking on both the hero and the villain is a very interesting idea. Playing two roles like this can look at who people are, how people lie, and the difference between being a hero and a monster. It also gives the actor a hard task that people in the audience are likely to talk about.

Production Roadmap and What Lies Ahead

For fans and people in the film business, 2027 is a date to look forward to, though it’s a long way off. It shows Animal Park will only go into production after the director has finished what he’s doing now, and the script is good enough for a story that will be told in three films.

We can expect to hear more as the director finishes his current project and the creative team finalises the script. Until then, Animal Park is a sequel with a lot of promise: a brave risk for the franchise, which could make the ideas in the first film even deeper, and give Ranbir the unusual opportunity to be two very different people.

Simply put, Ranbir Kapoor is both excited and willing to wait. Animal Park is still some time away, but the extra time could mean a second part which has been carefully made – and the start of a three-part story which fans will follow with interest towards 2027 and beyond.
