Re-NEET UG 2026: Last Day to Challenge Answer Key and Secure Your Score

There's still time for Re-NEET UG 2026 candidates to put in a challenge on any answer key mistakes - the deadline is June 28. You can head to the NTA site, sign in and have a look at your responses, then file an objection with the right paperwork. It's worth doing if you want to see a better score or improve your odds of getting in. We should see the final key and results some time in July.

Counselling is just around the corner, so if you’re a Re-NEET UG 2026 candidate, you have less than 24 hours to put things right. The NTA is shutting down the objection window on June 28, 2026 at 11:50 PM. Don’t wait – go to neet.nta.nic.in to make sure your scores and admission prospects are in order. We put the provisional key up on June 25 for those who took the re-exam. That was after the pen-and-paper test on the 21st where over 20 lakh of you vied for a spot in MBBS, BDS and the like. NTA has been firm: once the clock runs out, they won’t be taking any more challenges.

Who should act before the cut-off

You were in the re-NEET UG 2026? Then get in with your application number and password to see what the key says and how you fared. In a 720-mark paper, one fix is all it takes to move up the merit list.

NTA is putting out word to file any objections well ahead of the line to stay clear of the last-minute scurry.

How to make a case that counts

First, put your question-by-question answers side by side with the provisional key. After that, you can use the online tool on the NTA portal. Have your documents to hand and double-check your claims before you pay and hit submit.

– Go to neet.nta.nic.in and log in
– Find the page to challenge the Re-NEET UG 2026 Answer Key
– Pick out the questions you want to dispute
– Put up any supporting files you have
– Settle the fee and file it
– Make a copy of the confirmation

On fees and the fine print

It will cost you Rs 200 a question as per the notice. NTA will give you the money back if they find your side of the story holds water. But do upload only what’s necessary; if a claim is half-baked, it will be turned down.

And when the door is closed, it’s closed. No new objections after that.

Do the numbers before you object

Here is how the Re-NEET UG 2026 is marked: you get +4 for a right answer, -1 for a wrong one, and 0 if you leave it blank. There are 180 of them in all, covering Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology), for 720 marks.

Be smart about it. If you correct something that was marked off, you don’t just pick up 4 points, you also get the 1 back from the penalty. That’s 5 in your pocket.

Once the window is shut

The NTA will have a look at the challenges and come up with a final key. They’ll also put out the OMR sheets so you can see for yourself. It’s their way of being open and above board.

They’ve said the OMRs will have what you need to verify. You can expect to see:
– Your name and roll no.
– Application number and booklet code
– How you answered each question
– Date and session of the exam

Then it goes like this: the 25th to 28th for objections, a final key after they’ve had their say, and by the way of things, results in July 2026.

Why it’s important for both sides

Colleges like a smooth process to keep the merit lists and counselling on track. For you, a precise score is what puts you in a government college or a private one, or makes the difference between an MBBS and a BDS.

So don’t be left out. Log in, check your work, pay up and get your receipt. And keep an eye on neet.nta.nic.in for any news on the final key or when the results are in.
