India’s Automotive Industry Shatters Sales Records in October 2025 Amid Festive Cheer and Tax Reforms

The month of October 2025 saw record sales for the automotive industry on account of celebrations around festivals and GST rate cuts. The growth was led by Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Mahindra, and Kia, and marks a promising future for the industry.

Hyundai Motor India recorded sales of 69,894 units in October 2025, with a domestic sales contribution of 53,792 units. The popular Hyundai CRETA and VENUE models together enjoyed wholesome sales of 30,119 units in the month. The leadership believes that the festive sentiments coupled with positive GST impacts have led to this success.

Mahindra & Mahindra had further consolidated its supremacy over the SUV segment with a strong domestic sale of 71,624 units, witnessing a 31% year-on-year increase. It was further strengthened by newer editions, including Thar and Bolero. Undoubtedly, their focus on innovation and understanding of customer needs has paid handsomely during this period.

Kia has for the first time entered a monthly sales with over 29,556 units in October 2025. This figure was mainly marked by the launch of the Carens Clavis and Carens EV. The future-ready mobility solutions by Kia perfectly complement the fast-evolving consumer landscape in India.

The festive season also smiled upon Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), as domestic dispatches galloped to 40,257 units – up by 43%. This period also saw a buoyant economic environment that propped up consumer confidence and inquiries.
