A Guest List of Stars
The evening brought together a lot of Telugu movie actors, and famous people from all over India. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni with his wife Amala and son Naga Chaitanya, Ram Charan with Upasana, and Allu Arjun were all seen coming in looking good.
Rana Daggubati and wife Miheeka Bajaj, Venkatesh Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Nani, Naveen Polishetty, Krithi Shetty and Sreeleela were also on the list of important people who were there. People from Hindi movies, and movie directors came too, so it was an event that brought together people from different parts of the movie business.
What the Couple Wore
Rashmika followed the South Indian custom for brides, wearing a rich red silk saree which had a very noticeable black-and-gold edge. She wore this with lots of heavy temple jewellery – several necklaces, large earrings and a neat bun with a parting in the middle.
Vijay looked good with her in a typical ivory veshti and short-sleeved kurta, and didn’t wear a lot of jewellery, only a plain chain. The couple said hello to the photographers with a respectful ‘namaste’, and showed their easy relationship with some nice moments.
Fashion on the Red Carpet
Allu Arjun showed his usual style in a jacket with flowers on it, worn over light purple traditional clothing, and smiled at his fans. Ram Charan wore all black, while Upasana was very striking in a bright red dress, and the two of them wished the newlyweds well.
Rana and Miheeka wore the same colour – royal blue – with Rana in a navy jodhpuri and Miheeka in a decorated lehenga. Kriti Sanon and Mrunal Thakur, representing the Hindi film world, wore black outfits, and added a bit of modern style to the evening.
People Who Showed Up and Quick Meetings
Ravi Teja didn’t do much to his look, wearing black trousers and a grey shirt, and said hello to the couple before quickly leaving. Naga Chaitanya, Amala and Nagarjuna made a lovely family moment, posing for photos that fans quickly put on the internet.
Karthi from Tamil cinema came in a smart grey suit, and other stars – Neena Gupta, Radhika Sarathkumar and older actors – mixed with the people at the party. The mixture of famous older actors and new, up-and-coming names showed how wide the couple’s group of work friends was.
The Place, Decorations and Feeling
Taj Krishna was a beautiful place for the reception, with a gold-and-black decoration plan and a lot of lovely white flowers. The setting managed to be both impressive and warm and private, like the couple wanted for their party, even though there were so many famous people there.
Because of security, and the fact that only people who had been invited could come, the evening was kept under control, but photos and videos appeared on the internet soon after. These showed the couple looking great, lively conversations and nice details that made the reception something to remember.
Rashmika and Vijay got married on February 26 in Udaipur, with events which honoured both Kodava and Telugu traditions. The Hyderabad reception was a sincere party for the movie business after their private wedding, and showed a rare, happy meeting of South Indian film people.
The reception will be remembered for its mix of tradition and the fame of the stars, the couple’s elegant clothing and the long list of people who wished them well and came to celebrate. Fans and people in the film business are still sharing moments from the night, and it has become one of the most stylish Tollywood events of the year.
