Dipika Kakar Home After Operation
Dipika said she was allowed to leave the hospital three days after the treatment, and got back to her house on Thursday night. She explained the operation had actually gone well, and the doctors had been quick when the cyst was found.
The quick finding of the cyst, and being admitted to hospital so fast, was a surprise to her and her family – and it was happening at the same time as the couple’s anniversary; this quick timing made her feel even more stressed as she went from being told what was wrong with her, to being treated, in just a few days.
Details of the Treatment, and the RFA Method
In her YouTube video, Dipika said the treatment hadn’t been in a normal operating room, but in a CT scan room, using radiofrequency ablation – RFA. Doctors used a heat method which focused on burning the 13mm cyst, which is a treatment which doesn’t make a lot of damage when the problem area is small.
She added that if the cyst had been bigger, the medical team would have needed a more complicated operation. Because it had been found quickly and was about 1.3cm across, the RFA method had been possible, and had meant she didn’t have to have a big operation.
Strong Pain and Emotional Response After Waking Up
Dipika said she woke up from the treatment in a lot of pain, and that the first half hour after she came to was really bad. She remembered that the sudden return of the pain made it hard to take her medicine straight away, and she broke down because of the shock and worry.
She also said she had been nervous before the treatment and had been crying, and the doctors had to calm her down. The honest emotion in her video blog showed how fear and physical pain often happen at the same time during sudden health problems.
The Getting-Better Time and Pain Which Still Happens
Although the operation had been a success, Dipika said getting better was still painful. She described a pulling pain when she moved, and sometimes feeling sore where she’d been treated, and she thought this would get better as the burned area healed.
She made it clear the pain was different from the pain she’d had before, and was slowly getting less. Moving still made her uncomfortable, and she asked people to pray for her as she got through this getting-better time.
Help From Family and Supporters During Treatment
Dipika thanked her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, and her close family a lot of times for being there for her steadily while she was in hospital and getting better. Shoaib had given people information when it was needed, saying the operation had gone well, but also saying how much pain she was in after the operation.
Reading messages and comments from supporters on YouTube and social media had given Dipika strength, emotionally. She said the number of prayers and good wishes had often made her cry, showing how important it is to have a community when you have health problems.
Health History and Continued Care for Liver Cancer
Dipika has said publicly about her battle with stage 2 liver cancer, and had an operation to remove a tumour earlier in 2025. Finding this stomach cyst had happened during her wider getting-better and checking-up process, so careful follow-up was something she expected to be part of her treatment plan.
Doctors had found and treated the stomach cyst quickly, and Dipika was thankful it had been found early. She is still being watched by doctors, and continues to tell her followers about how she’s healing, and what she’s doing next.
Dipika Kakar’s video blog put medical details with personal thinking, mixing health clarity and emotional honesty. Her message was about getting better, having real ideas about pain, and feeling thankful to everyone who was giving her help during a difficult time.
