This partnership cancelled out RCB’s early success in taking wickets and allowed Kishan to score more quickly without risking the lower order batsmen getting exposed. They built a good foundation for a competitive total and clearly showed leadership for Hyderabad’s new captain.
Spin assault and big hits against Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya
When RCB used their spin bowlers, Kishan didn’t hold back. He went after Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya, hitting strong drives and clearing the ropes to keep the score going and disrupt the bowlers’ plans.
Abhinandan Singh was on the receiving end of Kishan’s hitting, and was punished for 6, 4, 6 in one over. Krunal Pandya was hit for two sixes in his over. These hits kept SRH in front of the required scoring rate and showed how good Kishan is at hitting spin.
