OnePlus looks ready to add to its flagship phones with the OnePlus 15T – and what has been leaked so far suggests a phone that will do well in camera work and battery life. Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, has mentioned ‘total improvements’ to the camera, and a number of leaks give details on the design, the parts inside, and when it’s coming out. Here’s a summary of what to expect.
Design and color choices
Renderings that have been leaked show a simple, rectangular camera area in the top-left, with two lenses one on top of the other, and an LED flash. The style is like that of expensive phones, but keeps things basic.
Three colors are being talked about: Relaxing Matcha, Healing White Chocolate, and Pure Cocoa. The phone is expected to be around 8.5mm thick and weigh nearly 194 grams – which is okay for a phone that may have a very large battery.
Camera parts and camera improvements
OnePlus is said to be putting a new LUMO periscope telephoto lens in the 15T, which will be a major difference in the camera. The periscope is thought to be 50MP, with a focal length of 85mm (about 3.5x optical zoom), optical image stabilization, and an f/2.8 aperture.
As for the main camera, leaks say there will be either a 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor, or a 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor, meaning OnePlus might make different versions, or test a few setups. Some reports say the phone might not have an ultra-wide sensor, so the camera plan may give more to the main and telephoto lenses than to wide-angle shots.
A 32MP front camera is expected for selfies, and OnePlus has hinted that image processing will be better to go with the improved lenses. All this would make the OnePlus 15T a compact flagship that is mostly about the camera.
Screen, performance, battery, and cooling
The OnePlus 15T is thought to have a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, giving smooth movement and good response when gaming. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor will take care of biometric safety.
The phone might be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, along with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone is expected to come with ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, and have IP68 and IP69 dust and water protection.
The battery is likely to be large, with leaks saying between 7000 mAh and 7500 mAh. Even with the large battery, OnePlus is said to have kept the phone fairly thin and to have worked on thermal improvements. Charging will likely include 100W wired and 50W wireless to quickly charge the phone.
When it will come out, how much it will likely cost, and where it will fit in the market
People in the know expect it to first come out in China between March 15 and March 25, then probably in India around June 20, 2026 – where it might be called the OnePlus 15s. Early guesses put the starting price at about Rs 64,999 in India.
That would put the OnePlus 15T between the OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus 15R, balancing top-end camera and battery with a small size. If these parts are as said, the 15T is meant to get users who want flagship performance but don’t want the biggest screen.
What this means for buyers and the competition
If the leaked parts are correct, OnePlus will push camera progress in a busy area by stressing periscope zoom and large sensors. Long battery life and strong charging will appeal to people who use their phones a lot and to travelers.
Customers should watch for official announcements for the final camera setups, the sensors that are actually used, and the prices. Early leaks give a plan, but OnePlus might change things or make versions for different areas before the actual launch.
