Samsung is going to show off its newest top-of-the-line phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, at the Unpacked event on February 25 – alongside the Galaxy S26, S26+, and the new Galaxy Buds 4 line. Details of the phone, from cameras and colours to the chip and how quickly it charges, have already been seen in leaks and shown in pictures. This is a quick summary of what to anticipate.
Date of Release, When the Event Is, and Details of Early Ordering
The Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for February 25 at 10 am PT – 11:30 pm IST in India. Samsung has begun taking early orders on its website for Rs 999, allowing people who order early to get first access before the world-wide release.
People who order early will probably receive a voucher for Rs 2,699, better trade-in values, and access to colours that won’t be available to everyone. Leaks show that in India, the base S26 Ultra model may cost about Rs 1,34,999, but the final official price may be different when it is released.
Appearance and Colour Choices
Leaked official-looking pictures shared by well-known sources on X show the S26 Ultra in Black, Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue, and White. The general shape is the same as the S25 Ultra, but the corners are a little more rounded for a softer, more polished appearance.
The back camera part seems tidier and better put together than before, still having a strong group of many lenses, but not with the square look of the older models. Small changes to the design are meant to make the top phone look even better, not completely change it.
Screen and New Features
The S26 Ultra is likely to have a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 120Hz refresh rate that changes as needed. The brightest parts of the screen might get to 3,000 nits, which would make it easier to see outside and make HDR images look better in bright light.
A ‘Flex Magic’ privacy screen technology is rumoured to be on the S26 Ultra, but Samsung has not given any details. If it’s real, Flex Magic could add privacy features to the screen, but how well it works will depend on how it is shown in real life.
Speed, Battery, and Memory
It is said that the phone will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip inside, along with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The memory is likely to use UFS 4.0 and go up to 1TB for the best models. The battery is likely to stay at 5000 mAh – normal for Ultra phones – but the speed of wired charging might go up to 60W. These improvements are meant to give a good balance between how long the phone lasts and how quickly it can be charged, without making it get too hot.
Camera System and Front Camera Details
Rumours about the camera point to a back system with four cameras, led by a 200-megapixel main sensor, as well as a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto giving 3x zoom. This combination is meant to allow for a lot of different kinds of shooting, from wide to long distance.
A leak from Ice Universe on X suggests that the front camera will have a Sony 12MP selfie sensor with a 1/3.2-inch size and 1.12um pixels, giving an 85-degree field of view. This is similar to previous models, and reports do not say that selfies will have dual-pixel phase detection autofocus. Small improvements to the selfie camera and higher prices might make people expect more from people who look to other companies for bigger changes.
Samsung might still surprise at the event, but the current leaks show the S26 Ultra as improving on what’s already there, not as making a big change. All in all, the Galaxy S26 Ultra looks ready to make better areas such as screen brightness, camera hardware, and charging, while keeping the Ultra design that people know. Before February 25, keep an eye out for official details and the final price to see which leaks turn out to be true.
