The 2026 Burgman Street is now available in India with a fresher appearance, better features and a more polished 125cc engine. The Ride Connect Edition starts at 1,01,944 Rupees (price at the showroom) and the Ride Connect TFT Edition costs 1,13,220 Rupees. You’ll be able to get one from April 8th, 2026.
Pricing, variants and market positioning
There are two versions of the 2026 Burgman Street: the Ride Connect Edition and the Ride Connect TFT Edition. You pay more for the TFT version because it has a 4.2-inch color screen and a keyless system, which firmly places it as a premium 125cc scooter in India.
Suzuki has priced the updated Burgman to be competitive with the TVS NTorq 125, Honda Dio 125 and Yamaha RayZR 125. The company says the Burgman Street has steadily grown in popularity since 2018, and sales have doubled in the last three years, because it’s given buyers who want maxi-scooter comfort in a 125cc scooter something different.
Engine, performance and mileage focus
The engine under the bodywork is still Suzuki’s SEP engine, a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled SOHC. It makes 6.2 kW (around 8.4 bhp) and 10.2 Nm of torque and is designed to be good for riding in towns and stopping and starting in traffic.
The SEP engine is designed for good fuel economy and smoothness, meaning people riding to work can get good gas mileage and it will still be easy to use every day. A light frame, a long distance between the wheels, and changes to the suspension are intended to give you both steadiness and easy steering in city traffic and on longer journeys.
Design updates and rider comfort
The style is now a ‘sleek modern’ maxi-scooter look, combining strong, defined lines with curves. The changes include split-lens LED headlights with built-in position lights, LED turn signals, a redesigned taillight and a dark tinted windscreen, all to make it look better on the road.
For comfort, there’s a long, nicely padded seat and a flexible floorboard that lets you have different riding positions. The strength of the frame and the suspension changes are for a more comfortable ride and better handling, making the Burgman Street a sensible choice for both commuting and riding at the weekend.
Practical features and technology upgrades
Suzuki has focused on how the scooter will be used in real life by increasing the under-seat storage to 24.6 liters and putting in a 5.5-liter fuel tank with a fuel filler cap on the outside. It also has storage pockets at the front, two useful hooks, a USB port for charging and waterproof switches to make it easier to use every day.
For both safety and convenience, the Burgman Street has Suzuki Easy Start, a side-stand interlock (so it won’t start when the side-stand is down) and a Combined Brake System for more balanced braking. The top Ride Connect TFT Edition has a 4.2-inch color TFT screen, keyless ignition and a function where the scooter ‘answers back’ to help you find it, giving you a more modern and better experience.
Ride Connect TFT Edition specifics
The TFT version has displays and instruments that look like a smartphone and are easier to read, so it’s simpler to see your trip information and warnings when you’ve stopped. The keyless system makes it easier to get on and park, and the ‘answer back’ feature helps you find the scooter quickly in a busy place.
Suzuki intends to make the Burgman Street even more attractive to those wanting a premium scooter with its changes to the design, comfort, and useful new features, and it will be in dealerships from April bal 2026. If you want a 125cc maxi-style scooter that’s practical, has lots of features and is good value for money, the new Burgman Street is a good option.
