We are in the thick of India’s maritime admissions with the IMU CET 2026 results declared and the counselling process up and running. On June 14, 2026, IMU put the rank cards out on imu.cbexams.com and by that evening had the counselling open for business. The first phase won’t last long – the hard stop is June 17, 2026.
It’s time to make some moves for the thousands of you with your eyes on a life at sea. You’ll find your scorecards and rank certificates on the portal; these are what will decide where you end up across IMU’s various campuses and partner institutes. With the clock ticking and demand high, you can’t afford to be late.
What to do right now
Head over to the official site, imu.cbexams.com, to pull up your scorecard and rank card. A simple login with your Application Number and Password (or Date of Birth) is all it takes. From there, you can see your All India Rank, how you did in each subject, and your other details.
Don’t rush into counselling without a check. Make sure your name, category, application number and rank are all in order. Spot a discrepancy? Let the IMU helpdesk know. Then save a file and print a few copies; you’ll be required to produce this for counselling and any verifications down the line.
Here is what to get done today:
– Get your rank card and make sure it’s correct
– Put in your registration for counselling before June 17, 2026
– Have some printouts on hand
– See if there are any new word from the official website
How we got here: the 2026 numbers
Back on May 24, 2026, the CBT was held in 86 cities. IMU has been on schedule with its evaluation, and as of the evening of June 14, 2026, the results were live and counselling was under way.
Some 72,000 of you signed up and took the test from all over the country, so the competition for the available seats is what you’d expect. In a field this size, an early, clean submission in the first phase can be the difference-maker.
On the topic of counselling and your files
The system is open and will be doling out seats based on rank, what you’ve put in as your preference, and what’s left. We have a June 17, 2026 deadline for the first round of registrations. Fall behind and you may find yourself in later rounds with fewer to choose from.
To keep things from stalling during verification, have your records in order. The advisory is to have these at the ready:
– Your 10th and 12th mark sheets
– Category certificates where they apply
– The IMU CET 2026 rank card
Once you’re in, don’t let the official IMU site go unmonitored. There will be notices on seat openings, cut-offs, and the next allotment. It pays to be in the know so you can plan your next move.
The programmes and what lies ahead
If you want in on B.Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc Nautical Science or a Diploma in Nautical Science, the IMU CET is the way to go. It’s the common thread for admissions to all of IMU’s campuses and the institutes they work with.
From here it is a matter of being prompt. Register for the first phase of counselling by the 17th of June. Hold on to your printed papers for every step of the way and be quick to act on any instructions that come through the portal.
There is no two ways about it. Your results and rank card are waiting on imu.cbexams.com. Counselling is a go and the first window is closing in. With 72,000 candidates in the mix, your documentation and timing will be what secures you a place this year.
