It was made public today, May 22, on tancet.annauniv.edu. For anyone after an MBA or MCA, this is the time to act if you want the admissions process to go without a hitch.
Immediate actions for candidates
There is a last chance to put right any profile errors. We’re talking about things like name initials, how your name is spelled, date of birth, gender, community and nativity. You’ll have to back up your case with proper evidence and send it off to [email protected].
The next two weeks are pivotal for admission readiness. Use this checklist to avoid last-minute hurdles:
– Review profile data for errors before scorecard download
– Email PROPER EVIDENCE to [email protected] for corrections
– Note scorecard window May 27 to June 26, 2026
– Track counselling announcements for registration and verification
Result access and verification
When the scorecards are up for grabs later this month, the profile is final. Colleges will be using that as their reference when they check your papers, so have a good look at every field.
You don’t want to be turned away during verification because of a simple fix you could have made earlier. And for your own safety, only log in via the official tancet.annauniv.edu site to keep your data from being compromised.
Follow these quick steps to view and save your result:
– Go to tancet.annauniv.edu
– Select TANCET Result 2026 on the homepage
– Enter roll number and date of birth
– Submit to view the result
– Download and print for records
Have a hard and soft copy of the scorecard ready for when you go for counselling. If you spot something off, sort it out first and hold off on the download.
Participation snapshot
This year we had 30,912 candidates in total. The MBA side of things was particularly well-attended with 15,050 of them, while 7,281 were in for the MCA. Then there were 5,137 for the CEETA PG, which is still the way to go for M.E., M.TECH., M.ARCH. and M.PLAN seats in the state.
Exam timeline and test design
The exams were over by the 10th. TANCET for the MBAs and MCAs was on the 9th in two sittings, 10 to 12 and 2.30 to 4.30. The paper had 20 questions each in five parts: Business Situations, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Sufficiency and English. You get a point for a right answer, but 0.25 is taken off for a wrong one. Leave it blank and it doesn’t count.
Knowing how the scoring works gives you some context for your result and what to expect in the room when you’re picking your preferences.
Counselling readiness and institutional impact
Now that the results are in, the admission desks in Tamil Nadu are setting their schedules for registration and seat allotment. The University is telling us to be on top of the counselling dates and to have our papers in order.
Your ID, marksheets, category and address proofs need to be a mirror image of your TANCET profile. A mismatch with the scorecard is the quickest way to put a hold on your seat.
When the calendar is put out, be there. Register, get verified, put in your choices. In the early rounds you have the most to choose from, so don’t let a paperwork error cost you a good spot.
Here’s the bottom line: the 2026 result is up and the window to get your scorecard is open from the 27th of May to the 26th of June. Get your profile right, then check the portal and make a move.
