Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ Returns to Cinemas Before Sequel Debut

Just before the second 'Dhurandhar' movie comes out, the first Ranveer Singh spy film is going back to theaters for a short time, all over the world. They're doing this to get people excited about the whole series, and the movie will be shown on around may be 500 screens worldwide. The second film, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' will have its first showings in the United States and Canada, and then will be in general release on March 19, 2026.

Fans will get to see Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ on the big screen again only a few days before the sequel is available, and the people who made the film have confirmed it will play in hundreds of theaters in India and other countries. About 250 screens in India will show it from March 12, and 250 overseas from March 13. In North America, almost 185 theaters will have the film, which is a lot for a Hindi movie that’s returning to cinemas.

This gives people a chance to watch ‘Dhurandhar’ before the next one, and those who want to can see both films one after the other. How people are already buying tickets shows a lot of people want to see it, particularly in countries outside India where it is unusual for Hindi films to be shown in theaters again.

Box office performance that prompted the return

‘Dhurandhar’ was a massive hit when it came out on December 5, 2025, making about 1,300 crore rupees worldwide. Around 1,000 crore rupees of that total came from India, demonstrating how incredibly popular the film was in its home country and with the public in general.

Because of how much money it made, the producers decided to put the first film back in theaters. It’s a way to remind people about it before the second one comes out, to continue the excitement for the series, and to attract people who like to see films on a big screen.

Sequel release strategy and premiere screenings

'Dhurandhar: The Revenge‘ opens on March 19, 2026, at the same time as Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid. To reach more people, the second film will be released with voiceovers in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, so people in many more parts of India will be able to hear it in their own languages.

The producers are holding special premiere showings in the USA and Canada on March 18, and they’ll use Premium Large Format screens. These have amazing sound and very large pictures, and they say that many seats for the showings in the middle of the week have already been sold.

Returning cast and creative team

Ranveer Singh is back as the main character, and R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi are all playing their original roles. They all being in it again, and being famous, helped the first film become both a financial and cultural success.

Aditya Dhar wrote and directed the second film and is also helping to produce it along with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The story will continue to deal with complicated spying, and the complicated questions of morality that come with secret operations.

What audiences can expect from the re-release experience

Viewers will have another chance to see the exciting action, the political plots, and how the characters develop on a large screen before the next film adds to the story. The timing of this is designed to let people see two films in a row, and to create a festival atmosphere.

The re-release and the special premieres show that people in the film industry are confident the series will do well. With “Revenge” in the title and the film being available in more languages, the second film is hoping to get even more people to see it around the world than the first one did.
