So, is there a hush-hush ceremony in the works? His team would have you say no. They were on it fast this week to put an end to the wedding talk doing the rounds on social media. The star of Kaithi and Master has put out a word for fans to look at verified info, after a story about a private get-together made a brief run as a trend before it was called out for what it was.
What put the wedding in the spotlight?
You can trace it back to Ramesh Bala, who put up a note suggesting Arjun could be tying the knot in front of only his inner circle. But once he had a word with someone in the actor’s orbit, he retracted it and put it down to a rumour.
That didn’t stop the screenshots and the armchair theories. For one who doesn’t let much of his private side show, the void was hard to fill, and you had half-formed stories being given more weight than they deserved in the hopes of some kind of announcement.
The team puts a lid on it
Yuvraaj, Arjun’s publicist, made things plain on 27 May 2026. In a post on X, he said don’t believe the hype – there is 'no truth‘ to it. He also made a point of telling the press to check with them before they put out anything on the actor’s love life.
Here is where we stand:
– Yuvraaj (PRO): wedding talk is baseless
– Press: do your due diligence with us first
– Ramesh Bala: has walked back his word
It was a measured way of saying if it isn’t coming from us, it’s not a fact. Even so, you can’t blame the fans for still being inquisitive about what the very reserved star is up to.
Old hat for Arjun
We’ve been here before. Back in 2023, a photo went around and everyone was talking about him and Aishwarya Lekshmi. She had to step in and set the record straight that they’re just friends. It shows how a simple picture can be made into a headline in no time.
Back to Con City
Now that the engagement story has run its course, it’s back to business. Arjun is the face of Con City, a new comedy from Harish Durairaj with Anna Ben, Yogi Babu, Arul Doss and Abdul Razzak in the mix. You can see it in a theatre come June 26, 2026.
The teaser has you wondering. It starts with a moneylender on the phone, putting the heat on Arjun for not returning his calls. By the end of it, you get the sense he’s made a run for it with his family and left the house behind.
As for the making of it, you have Sean Roldan on the music and Aravind Viswanathan behind the camera. Arul Moses A has done the edits and Raj Kamal the design. The early word is that it will be a good time at the movies, with all the timing and tension you’d want from Arjun.
And what else is in the pipeline
Most recently you had him in Kumki 2, under the direction of Prabhu Solomon. It’s a follow-on to the 2012 original and has the tale of Bhoomi and a young elephant, Nila, at its heart.
There’s Once More with Aditi Shankar coming out this year as well, though we don’t have a date for it yet. Between the two languages, his resume is full: Master, Butta Bomma, Good Bad Ugly, They Call Him OG, Bomb and more.
Since his start in Perumaan in 2012, he has made a name for himself with a certain on-screen force and an off-screen quietness. The bottom line for now is there is no ring, no nuptials, only the films. And when you do get a peek at his life, it will be done with the same care and right timing as his work.
