It is a day of mixed emotions for thousands in Madhya Pradesh as the board puts out the 2026 second exam results at 4:00 PM today. If you want to see your scorecard and make a plan of action, head over to mpbse.mponline.gov.in or result.mponline.gov.in and log in.
Don’t think of this as just another file upload. The whole point of the Second Chance Exam, and the National Education Policy behind it, is to take some of the pressure off. It is there to let you do better in a subject or two, which in turn helps schools keep their transition and vocational numbers in order.
What is changing for students and schools
We have left the old supplementary system in the past. Now, if you didn’t make it, were away, or simply want to put up a higher mark, you can reappear for certain subjects. MPBSE has made it clear: the best of the two attempts is what will stand.
You had until April 22, 2026, to sign up. Fees were anywhere from Rs 500 to Rs 2000, depending on how many you were taking. For those running the schools, it means the kind of support they put in place can be seen in the final board results before the year is done.
Why today’s release matters
MPBSE says 1,42,468 regular students are in the mix for this one. With the word out today, it could make or break some admissions and scholarship claims in the weeks to come.
Look at the numbers from the main test for some perspective. When they were put out on April 15, 2026, 73.42% of regulars passed. Government schools did a bit better at 76.80%, non-govt at 68.64%. And for the girls? 77.52% – a solid showing across the state.

Official confirmation and timeline
The Board of Secondary Education in Bhopal has put it in writing. A press note from June 15, 2026, has the 4:00 PM slot on the 16th down as fact. The PRO has said so: once the link is live, you can view your marks.
There isn’t much else in the way of fine print from MPBSE. If there is anything to add, it will come through the proper channels. Stick to the board for your information.
Support pathways after the result
Some won’t make the grade today. For those who are still a little short even after the second go, the board is pointing to the 'Ruk Jana Nahi‘ programme with the State Open School. There are openings in the June and December 2026 sessions.
A few things to bear in mind with the Second Chance setup:
– You can retake on a per-subject basis
– Whether you failed, were absent or are after an improvement
– The higher of the two is the one that counts
Benchmark from the main examination
The top of the class set the standard earlier on. Pratibha Singh Solanki of Panna was hard to beat with 499/500 (99.8%) in the main 10th. Then you had Akshara Ghodeshwar and Abhay Gupta not far behind with 498 apiece.
You see a divide by district. Anuppur was on top at 93.85%, Alirajpur at 92.14%. Of the 8.97 lakh or so who sat for it, the government side had the edge over the private, which tells you where the effort was put in.
When 4:00 comes around, get online and get your results. Have a word with the school about what to do next. This is a format that makes you work for it, and what happens today can still change the course of the year.
