JioHotstar has put out the Pritam and Pedro trailer, and it’s a lot of Arshad and Vir up against Vikrant. You can tell it’s a Rajkumar Hirani production from the get-go: high-stakes, but with his particular brand of comedy. Be there on July 3, 2026 to stream it.
The trailer that lit up timelines
What you see in the cut is a punishment posting, a truce of sorts, and a minister’s son in the middle of a digital web. JioHotstar’s caption has some of its own: ‘Hackers ki fielding set hai, kyunki Pritam and Pedro are reporting for duty!’
People are already making the time to click on it. ‘So much to be had with all the turns and twists. I will be watching as soon as it’s up,’ one viewer put it. Another was more to the point: ‘Kuch naya dekh ne ko milega.’
Why this team-up has fans curious
You put a hard-nosed cop and a kid with a keyboard in a room and you get some friction. In the case of Pritam and Pedro, it’s a veteran and a new face. That new face is Vir Hirani, and he has his father, Rajkumar, behind him as the show’s creator and producer.
Then there is the old times. Arshad, who we’ve loved as Circuit, is back in the fold with Rajkumar for the first time since the Munna Bhai days. For those in the know: Vir made a quick cameo as Circuit’s boy in the Munnabhai MBBS end credits.

Creative backbone and inspirations
Rajkumar has put together the story and script with Abhijat Joshi and Suyash Trivedi. Avinash Arun is at the helm – if you remember his work on Three of Us or Paatal Lok, you know he can build a world even when you’re laughing.
It all comes from the books of Amit Dubey, Hidden Files and Return of the Trojan Horse. You can see it in the way the trailer is fixated on the kind of human mess that happens when you have smart tech and surveillance.
What the series sets in motion
Pedro is a cop who has been sent to the cyber cell as a kind of reprimand. He is made to work with Pritam, a hacker, to put a stop to a very dangerous type of criminal. And in the way of things, the bad guy, Vikrant, has made off with a minister’s son.
The show seems to have no trouble moving from a joke to a matter of life and death. The makers are pointing to a big case where tempers and technology are bound to rub up against each other.

Now that the trailer is here, it’s a no-brainer. If you like the idea of some of Hirani’s warmth meeting a line of code, Pritam and Pedro is for you. We’ll just have to see how much of an odd couple they can be to outwit a ghost in the machine.
