We have seen the first official sketch of the Peaq, the all-electric seven-seater that is to be Skoda’s top-tier EV. With the worldwide reveal in Monnetier-Mornex, France coming up on June 23, 2026, you can see where Skoda is heading: straight for the three-row electric SUV market.
Making a play for the large EV SUV segment
With the Peaq at the head of its EV class, Skoda is after the kind of customer who wants a full-size vehicle but no internal combustion engine. It’s a move into a part of the market that has seen a lot of new entries from Europe, the U.S., and China of late.
Then there is the rest of the line-up – the Enyaq, Elroq, Epiq – which the Peaq will now top off. When it goes on sale, it will be the biggest thing in Skoda’s stable, made for those who put a premium on space and are done with ICE cars.

A look that means business
If you ask Skoda, the Peaq has been put together with an eye for clean surfaces and hard lines, all in the name of a confident, forward-looking feel. They call it Modern Solid, and the goal is to have a bit of class to it without overdoing it.
Around back you’ll find T-shaped tail-lamps and a horizontal bar that puts in an appearance on the front as well. Skoda says this is their way of making the SUV stand out and giving it some visual cohesion.
Look at it from the side and you notice the high shoulder, the D-pillars, and door handles that sit flush. It’s not just for show; it helps with the aerodynamics and gives the Peaq some heft. This is a long-haul family EV, not a small crossover for the city.
Tech is the story up front
The face of the car is defined by a gloss-black Tech-Deck panel that ties in the slim T-shaped LEDs. There is also a sculpted bumper with a volcano-like lower part to add to the width and presence of the whole thing.
“You have the T-shaped lights and the Tech-Deck Face,” says Karl Neuhold, who is in charge of exterior design at Skoda Auto. “Those are what give the SUV its character in the electric age, along with some well-proportioned, finely worked surfaces.”
The knowns and the unknowns
What we can tell from the initial sketches and press material is this:
– A global launch on June 23, 2026
– In Monnetier-Mornex, France
– Room for seven
– The flag-bearer for the EV range
– Modern Solid with its loop-style lighting
Some of the finer points are still being kept under hat until the unveiling:
– The numbers on the spec sheet
– What’s in the battery
– How far you can go
– The cost of entry
– The tech on offer
Why now?
There is a lot of action in the large electric SUV space these days, as more households want to go zero-emission and don’t want to be cramped. Putting the Peaq in front of us is a way for Skoda to get some buzz going and show they are ready for the competition.
It’s a chance to get a feel for where the brand is with its next wave of EVs. That loop lighting you see? Skoda intends to use it as a kind of calling card on future models to keep a consistent, Modern Solid vibe.
So as we wait for the 23rd of June, 2026, everyone is wondering about the range, the charging, and the price tag. Skoda will have the answers at the premiere, and we’ll see how the Peaq measures up to the other three-row EVs out there.
