CM Yogi Reviews Jewar Airport Preparations for PM Modi’s March 28 Inauguration

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, went to Noida International Airport in Jewar to check how things are going before Prime Minister Modi opens it on March 28, 2026. He was especially looking at how things will be moved, security, and how to handle the many people who will be there. The airport is expected to help the economy of the area around Delhi (the NCR), and the building for handling cargo and the future facility for repairing and servicing planes (MRO) will improve connections and growth.

Yogi Adityanath checked the actual preparations at the Noida International Airport, Jewar, before Prime Minister Modi opens the airport and cargo building, and lays the first stones for the MRO facility on March 28, 2026. The visit was about making sure everything is ready, that everyone is working together, and that the opening will be smooth and as good as any in the world.

CM Yogi Conducts On-Site Review at Noida International Airport

During his visit, the Chief Minister followed the route the Prime Minister will take, and looked at important points around the airport grounds. He received updates on how ready the passenger building, cargo building, helicopter landing area, the place for the rally, parking areas, and all the roads leading to the airport were.

After looking around, he led a meeting with local politicians and high-level government workers at the airport. They discussed the practicalities of the event, the plans for how the airport will operate, security, directing traffic, and controlling the crowd. He told all the departments to work closely together and finish everything on time, no exceptions.

The Chief Minister pointed out that because of the politicians, important guests, people from businesses, the news media, and a large number of ordinary people attending, very thorough planning is needed. He wants everything to work perfectly and show that the state can organize a very visible, high-quality event very quickly.

Logistics, Security, and Crowd Management Plans Finalized

Officials gave a full explanation of security, where traffic will be diverted, parking, and alternative roads. They will have four levels of security around the airport and the nearby roads to manage people’s movements, protect certain areas, and respond quickly if needed.

The plan to make getting in and out easy includes clear signs, separate sections, and times for people to arrive in an ordered way. There will be men and women from the government and police in every part of the airport, and volunteers who have been trained to help visitors and show them where to go.

Parking areas will have portable toilets, drinking water, information points and medical staff to help people in the crowd. The Chief Minister stressed that everyone should be able to get to their seats on time, and that there shouldn’t be major delays at busy places.

Those at the meeting included leaders from the area and the political party, as well as important officials like the Divisional Commissioner, the Police Commissioner, the District Magistrate, the CEO of YEIDA, and the person in charge of Noida Airport. All being there together showed they are all working as one.

Branding, Amenities, and Accessibility Pushed to World-Class Standard

Yogi Adityanath wants lots of advertising and public information so everyone in the area knows about the opening. He told the teams to be sure all roads to the airport are open and clearly marked for both the public and official cars.

Departments have been instructed to finish cleaning, ensure continuous electricity and water, have enough bathrooms, and install fire protection. Teams will regularly check progress and fix problems on the spot to make sure things stay on schedule before March 28. Getting people to and from the airport easily (especially for the final bit of the journey) and having good signs are both going to be very important for reducing confusion and handling lots of people at once. The Chief Minister told everyone to have extra ways to help the crowds, so that people will always be comfortable and safe.

The opening of Noida International Airport is expected to completely change the Yamuna Expressway area and the larger economy of the National Capital Region. The opening of the cargo section, and the beginning of building the MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) facility, makes Jewar a place where many different kinds of aviation and transport activities will happen.

Why Jewar Airport Matters for the NCR Economy

When the airport is completely running with both cargo and the future MRO, things will be delivered more quickly, shipping will be cheaper, and it will attract businesses that make and sell goods for export. Businesses in Noida, Greater Noida and the surrounding industrial areas will also have an easier time connecting with the rest of the world.

People in the industry think that development tied to the airport will increase business, and lead to more investment in warehouses, ways of keeping goods cold during transport, and fast delivery systems. This will then create more jobs, improve people’s skills, and have a lasting positive effect on the economy of the entire area.

The price of houses is already showing this change. According to Anarock, the average price of a home in Noida went from 4,795 rupees per square foot in the first three months of 2020 to almost 9,200 rupees per square foot in the first three months of 2025, a 92% increase. Greater Noida’s prices went up 98% in the same time.

Real Estate Momentum in Noida and Greater Noida

The average for the entire NCR was 81%, and Gurugram’s went up 84%. Experts in the market think that property values along the Yamuna Expressway could go up another 20 to 30% as the airport starts to have more of an effect.

Most people buying homes used to be investors, but now they are more likely to be people who will actually live in them. People who work in IT parks want to live in areas that are nice to live in, and have good public services, schools, hospitals and stores. Nice areas like Sector 150 and developments along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway show that this is what people want.

Builders are building neighborhoods that look good and have lots of facilities. In Sector t98, new high-end building projects show that the market is happy with modern designs from all over the world. As one leader in the industry said, the Jewar airport will make getting around easier and give buyers and investors more confidence.

Noida’s carefully planned road system, wide roads, and expansions to the metro have made commuting better and allowed offices to expand along the expressway. The airport will make this existing system even better, connecting business areas to both domestic and international routes with just one connection.

Connectivity and MRO Ecosystem as Long-Term Catalysts

The MRO facility is an important addition. By allowing planes to be maintained and repaired closer to where the airlines are based, it will reduce the amount of time planes are out of service and lower the costs of running them. Eventually, this will encourage businesses that supply parts for airplanes, training schools and specialist services to set up around the airport.

The cargo section and MRO system together mean that Jewar will do more than just move passengers, it will offer a full range of aviation services. This is the main thing that will establish Noida International Airport as a key part of growth for eastern NCR over the next ten years.

As March tal8, 2026 gets closer, the state government is making sure the opening is very well organised, showing it is ready to operate and giving investors confidence. With everything in place and different departments working together, the opening of Jewar airport will begin a new period for Noida and the larger NCR.
